Favorite Makeup Products of 2022: Honest Beauty Mascara
The Honest Company started as a company that provides natural products for baby care, and expanded into the beauty industry. It’s Hollywood star Jessica Alba’s baby, with clean products free of phthalates and sulfates.
Their mascara comes in Extreme Volume and Extreme Length, and both come with a primer. If you love the mascara, you can also try their Honestly Healthy Lash Serum.
Merit Blush Mini Trio
Merit Beauty is also clean, vegan, and cruelty free. The blush trio specifically has great colors and is great for travel, when you want to pack everything you need without it taking up a lot of space.
Patrick Ta’s Cream Foundation
This makeup line has awards for best cream contour and bronzer duo already, and the cream foundation is just as good. They come in a compact as a duo with finishing powder for $52, and the website has a quiz to help you find the right shade.
Makeup by Mario’s MoistureGlow Plumping Lip Serum
The MoistureGlow serum comes in stick form that belies its title (“serum” always reminds me of something runny or drippy and hard to apply). This is easy to swipe on like a chapstick or gloss, and it comes in a variety of shades.
Makeup by Mario also sells a Softsculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer that they call a “complexion balm that warms and nourishes.” It is so pretty on the skin and provides sheer coverage to even out skin tone. Select a shade, and then blend inward with a brush to apply.
This brand’s Ethereal Eyes Palette also comes highly recommended, because of its multi-finish options. It has 12 shades, but is currently sold out on their website and at Sephora, so keep a close eye out for it to be restocked.
Rare Beauty Liquid Blush
Rare Beauty is Selena Gomez’s makeup line, and this liquid blush blends effortlessly. It comes in both a matte and dewy finish and pairs amazingly with the liquid highlighter. We recommend getting several different shades for different occasions.
Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops
Isle of Paradise offers you a natural glow with their self tanning drops. Just add one drop to moisturizer in the morning for a natural look that helps even out texture and tone. The color develops slowly, so use sparingly until you know how it will work with your skin.
